For­mer air­craft car­rier com­man­der to visit

Bill Kennedy, for­mer com­man­der of the USS Saratoga and USS Lex­ing­ton air­craft car­ri­ers and cur­rent di­rec­tor of the Navy-Ma­rine Corps Re­lief So­ci­ety at May­port Naval Base in Jack­sonville, Fla., will tour the area at the in­vi­ta­tion of area veter­ans, in­clud­ing Marl­boro Le­gion Post No. 124.

Kennedy is ex­pected at 6 p.m. Thurs­day to place a wreath at the Veter­ans Memo­rial High­way in Hyde Park; at 11 a.m. Fri­day to par­tic­i­pate in the Marl­boro Veter­ans Day cer­e­mony; and on Fri­day af­ter­noon will be given a spe­cial tour of the Walk­way Over the Hud­son.

On Satur­day morn­ing, Kennedy will re­ceive a tour of the Franklin D. Roo­sevelt Pres­i­den­tial Li­brary and Mu­seum and at noon will give a speech at the Henry Wal­lace Cen­ter at the Home of Franklin D. Roo­sevelt Na­tional His­toric Site. The speech will be open to the pub­lic. At 2:45 p.m., Kennedy will tour St. James Church and ceme­tery in Hyde Park.
