Sales ebb?

Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - BUSINESS -

The Commerce Department reports its latest data on U.S. wholesale business sales today.

Economists anticipate that sales by wholesale businesses increased by 0.6 percent in September. That would be down slightly from a gain of 0.7 percent the previous month, when sales of autos, groceries, hardware, clothing and other goods increased. Wholesalers are still adjusting to a slowdown that caused inventory levels to rise relative to sales volume.
