Gregg All­man can­cels shows due to vo­cal cord in­jury

Rocker Gregg All­man has can­celled or resched­uled his shows for the rest of 2016 and the be­gin­ning of 2017 af­ter a vo­cal cord in­jury.

The 68-year-old mu­si­cian said in a state­ment posted on his web­site Tues­day he’s tak­ing sev­eral months off from tour­ing so he can “fo­cus on his health.” The state­ment said he’s been on the road for 45 years, but “it’s time for me to take some real time off to heal.” He also can­celled shows ear­lier this year due to a se­ri­ous health is­sue and was sched­uled to play sev­eral days this month in New York City, but those dates have been resched­uled for next sum­mer.

All­man has faced mul­ti­ple health is­sues, in­clud­ing con­tract­ing hep­ati­tis C and hav­ing a 2010 liver trans­plant.
