Group that fights homelessness to meet
The Ulster County Continuum of Care, a consortium of agencies responsible for developing strategies to reduce and end homelessness is Ulster County, is holding its annual meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at The Kirkland, 2 Main St.
The annual meeting will include a discussion called “Initiatives to Reduce Homelessness in Ulster County.”
The consortium membership also will fill vacancies on its Board of Directors.
The consortium comprises local government; nonprofits; homeless housing and service providers; local elected officials; veterans’ groups; and faith-based, for-profit and education representatives.
The group assists, advocates for and works with the homeless in Ulster County and is responsible for an annual funding application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
