Joan V. Kilmer Kovesdy, 83, of John Yea­ger Rd., for­merly of Pon­ck­hockie St., Kingston, died Thurs­day, Nov. 10, 2016, at her res­i­dence.

Born Dec. 7, 1932, in Kingston, she was the daugh­ter of the late Wil­liam and Florence Drum Kilmer.

A life­time area res­i­dent, she was a for­mer mem­ber of the Hur­ley Re­formed Church and re­cently at­tended the Sauger­ties Re­formed Church.

She was a beloved mother to her daugh­ters, Lynn (Art) Biscoglio of Sauger­ties and Sharon Fisher of North Carolina; sis­ter, Nancy Greer of Lake Hill; seven grand­chil­dren, six great-grand­chil­dren, her for­mer hus­band, Ti­bor and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

She was pre­de­ceased by two brothers, Howard Griff­ing and Wil­liam Kilmer, Jr.; and step-daugh­ter, Kathy Kovesdy Del­ben.

Her Fu­neral Ser­vice will be held 10 a.m. Mon­day at the Sea­mon-Wilsey Fu­neral Home, Inc., cor­ner of John & Lafayette Sts., Sauger­ties. In­ter­ment will be in the Wiltwyck Ceme­tery.
