Museum hosts holiday soap-making workshop
WHAT: Holiday soap-making workshop WHEN: Nov. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, Muser Drive, Cornwall-on-Hudson
DETAILS: The museum will host a holiday soap-making workshop. Join environmental educator and soap maker Megan Hoffman to learn how to make natural cold processed soap in this hands-on workshop. Learn the history of soap making, the proper use of safety equipment and the properties of essential oils, natural additives, molding and curing. Participants will create a batch of holiday scented soap that will be ready for gift giving during the holiday season and will be mailed finished bars of soap once the 24 hour hardening process is complete. This soap-making program requires prepaid registration and is for adults and interested teens ages 15 and up. Admission is $75, $60 for museum members.
