Gardiner Li­brary hosts talk on Medi­care

A talk ti­tled “Medi­care 101” will take place Satur­day, Nov. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Gardiner Li­brary, 133 Farmer’s Turn­pike.

The talk is ap­pro­pri­ate for peo­ple cur­rently en­rolled in Medi­care, soon to be el­i­gi­ble for Medi­care or turn­ing 65 over the next year.

The talk will cover how and when to en­roll, when changes can be made, and avail­able in­sur­ance op­tions.

At­ten­dees will re­view and com­pare Medi­care Parts A, B, C and D and hear about the dif­fer­ences be­tween Orig­i­nal Medi­care, Pre­scrip­tion Drug Plans, Medi­care Sup­ple­ment In­sur­ance and Medi­care Ad­van­tage Plans.

The talk cov­ers the most up-to-date in­for­ma­tion and helps sim­plify choices con­sumers need to make. Jim Farn­ham, Health In­sur­ance Con­sul­tant, re­turns to present this highly in­for­ma­tive and well-re­ceived talk.

The talk takes place in the li­brary com­mu­nity roo.

The com­mu­nity room is equipped with T-coil tech­nol­ogy for those with com­pat­i­ble hear­ing aids and cochlear im­plants.
