Pa­tri­cia Beaver, 72, of Alplaus

Pa­tri­cia Beaver, 72, passed away peace­fully in her beloved home.

Pat was born in Bay­onne, N.J., and raised in Kingston, N.Y. The old­est of seven chil­dren, Pat was a grad­u­ate of Kingston High School. Pat mar­ried Joseph Beaver in 1962 at St. Peter’s Church in Kingston. In 1966, the cou­ple and two sons moved to Alplaus, N.Y., where they wel­comed a daugh­ter and an­other son.

Pat quickly be­came an in­te­gral part of the Alplaus com­mu­nity and was known as one of the best friends the vil­lage ever had. Pat was a proud home­maker and mother to not only her chil­dren, but to all the count­less chil­dren who en­tered her home, in later years she was fondly re­ferred to as Grandma Cookie. Pat was a stead­fast mem­ber of the Alplaus Fire Dept. Ladies Aux­il­iary, where she was trea­surer. Pat could be found at all events that sup­ported her beloved Alplaus com­mu­nity, she was a true rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the spirit of Alplaus.

Pat was pre­de­ceased by her fa­ther and mother, James and El­iz­a­beth Becker; her sis­ters, Jill and Kathy Becker; and her brother, James Becker. Pat is sur­vived by her lov­ing hus­band, Joseph; her chil­dren, Michael (Kris­ten) Beaver of De­lan­son, Steven (Cyn­thia) Beaver of Sco­tia, Michelle Marsh of Me­chan­icville, and Joseph Beaver of Alplaus; her grand­chil­dren, Alexan­der, Michael, Jillian, Car­lyn, Samuel, and Jared; brother, Jack (Brenda) Becker; sis­ter, San­dra Becker; and brother, Robert (Kathy) Becker, all of Kingston.

Ser­vices will be held at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glen­ridge Rd., East Glenville, on Thurs­day, Nov. 17, 2016. Call­ing Hours 12 to 2 p.m., fol­lowed by a ser­vice at 2 p.m. A pri­vate in­ter­ment burial will be held at Saratoga Na­tional Ceme­tery at a fu­ture date.
