Pres­i­dent of DCC to ad­dress cham­ber

Pamela Ed­ing­ton, pres­i­dent of Dutchess Com­mu­nity Col­lege, will speak at the Dutchess County Re­gional Cham­ber of Com­merce break­fast meet­ing sched­uled for 7:30 a.m. Wed­nes­day at the Poughkeepsie Grand Ho­tel.

Ed­ing­ton as­sumed the pres­i­dency of DCC in Au­gust 2014. Among the goals she has set are: in­creas­ing the num­ber of Dutchess stu­dents who com­plete a de­gree; de­vel­op­ing ad­di­tional pro­grams of study to meet work­force needs; grow­ing a ser­vice-learn­ing pro­gram she es­tab­lished that lets stu­dents deepen their aca­demic learn­ing while help­ing to meet com­mu­nity-de­fined needs; and en­hanc­ing strate­gic re­la­tion­ships with lo­cal part­ners to en­hance the ed­u­ca­tional path­way in Dutchess County.
