Cli­mate change event sched­uled for Fri­day

SUNY Ul­ster will hold a “Sus­tain­abil­ity and Cli­mate Change Aware­ness Event” at noon Fri­day in the col­lege lounge. The event in­cludes: • SUNY Ul­ster and Univer­si­dad LaSalle stu­dents pre­sent­ing the sus­tain­abil­ity re­search of their joint Col­lab­o­ra­tive On­line In­ter­na­tional Learn­ing class held via the In­ter­net.

• Ul­ster County Ex­ec­u­tive Mike Hein will speak about the in­no­va­tive pro­grams that have made Ul­ster County the most sus­tain­able county in New York State and the 23rd most sus­tain­able county in the na­tion.

• A live video­con­fer­ence from the U.N. Con­fer­ence on Cli­mate Change in Mar­rakesh, Morocco with the Mex­i­can Un­der­sec­re­tary of En­vi­ron­men­tal Pol­icy and Plan­ning, Dr. Rodolfo Lacy Ta­mayo.

Col­lab­o­ra­tive On­line In­ter­na­tional Learn­ing classes al­low stu­dents to study with stu­dents from other coun­tries with­out the cost of travel. For more in­for­ma­tion call (845) 687-5262.
