Board vacancy to be filled soon
Town Supervisor Jeanne Walsh expects an appointment to be made next month to fill the Town Board seat vacated by Stacy Lapari.
The board accepted Lapari’s resignation at its Nov. 2 workshop session.
“The Town Board will be actively looking for someone to replace her and hopefully make a decision sometime in December,” Walsh said.
Town officials did not say why Lapari resigned, and she could not be reached for comment.
Lapari, 46, the owner of Creative Co-Op on Main Street in Rosendale, was in the first year of a fouryear term on the board.
Regardless of the upcoming appointment, the seat will be on the town ballot next November, and the winner will serve the remaining two years of the term.
