Man, 74, arrested on child molestation warrant from Fla.
LIVINGSTON >> A 74-yearold man wanted in Florida for alleged lewd and lascivious molestation of a child was arrested Thursday in this Columbia County town, state police said.
Leonard A. Scoval, a Livingston resident, was arrested by state police and the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force on the active felony warrant from Florida, according to a state police press release.
Scoval is accused of molesting a person less than 12 years in Monroe County, Fla., police said. They did not say when the alleged molestation occurred.
Scoval was arraigned in Livingston Town Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail, pending extradition to Florida.
