Training helps families prepare for disaster
The Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response will host its next Citizen’s Preparedness Training Program session from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the Boardman Road Branch Library, 141 Boardman Road.
The two-hour training session aims to provide participants with the tools and resources to better prepare for any type of disaster. The training, being provided by the Dutchess County Departments of Emergency Response and Behavioral and Community Health, is open to the public and admission is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Each family will receive a free Citizen Preparedness Corps Response Starter Kit.
Dutchess County’s Medical Reserve Corps and the Dutchess County Animal Response Team will be part of the training.
This training is part of the county Department of Emergency Response’s citizen preparedness training initiative.
