Vil­lage hosts ‘Hol­i­day on Main’ fes­tiv­i­ties

A pa­rade step­ping off at 11 a.m. Satur­day, Nov. 26 ,will kick off Mar­garetville’s An­nual “Hol­i­day on Main” fes­tiv­i­ties.

Shop own­ers will of­fer spe­cial pro­mo­tions and a num­ber of ac­tiv­i­ties are planned through­out the day. Hol­i­day on Main is be­ing held in con­junc­tion with “Small Busi­ness Satur­day.”

En­ter­tain­ment through­out the day in the vil­lage will in­clude Santa Claus lis­ten­ing to wish lists at the Amer­i­can Le­gion Hall from noon to 4 p.m.; free hay rides; a model train ex­hibit at the Pres­by­te­rian Church on Or­chard Street; hol­i­day crafts for chil­dren and face paint­ing at the Ma­sonic Build­ing from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and a gift-mak­ing fair at The Catskill Moun­tain Ar­ti­sans’ Guild all day long.

The Com­mons Gallery will show­case works by Alix Travis and the Longyear Gallery will fea­ture “Light in the Early 21st Cen­tury,” a paint­ing ex­hibit by Thomas Rapin.
