Craft, Art and Design Fair on Nov. 26, 27 in New Paltz
WHAT: Craft, Art and Design Fair WHEN: Nov. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. WHERE: Student Union Building at SUNY New Paltz, 1 Hawk Drive, New Paltz
DETAILS: Unison Arts Center presents its 26th Annual Craft, Art and Design Fair in the Student Union Buildings’ multi-purpose room. Local artisans will exhibit a variety of handmade work in diverse materials: functional and decorative ceramics; fiber and wearable arts, from scarves to clothing, felted, quilted, hand-dyed and knitted; and paintings in oil and pastel. There will also be woodwork, including a guitar maker, a contemporary clock maker, a leather artisan, a basket maker and fused glass artists. A wide array of work by jewelers who create one-of-a-kind pieces in silver, cloisonné, mixed metals and unique beads will be available. In addition, there will be holiday ornaments, handmade books and highly designed cards. For green gifts, shoppers can find heirloom seeds, natural soaps, hand-spun yarns and crafted wreaths. Admission is $4 for adults and includes a raffle ticket and $3 for Unison members. Admission is free for children ages 12 and under.
