Archaeological dig project focus of talk
WHAT: Our Town Talk WHEN: Dec. 3 from 1 to 2 p.m., with a tour of the parsonage site from 10 a.m. to noon.
WHERE: Hover Room of Germantown Library, 31 Palatine Park Road, Germantown
DETAILS: Professor Christopher Lindner of the Bard College anthropology program will give an update on the status of the ongoing archaeological dig project underway at the historic Parsonage site at Maple Avenue in Germantown. Learn about the progress of the dig and the historical artifacts found to date from the earliest days the Palatines lived in the area with African-Americans and Native Americans. The talk will also review findings from this year’s Bard Archaeology Field School. The dig and lab took place at the parsonage site in Germantown. A tour of the dig site will take place before the talk.
