Wayne A. Bush, 80, of Stone Ridge, died sud­denly on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.

He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Frend and Or­pha Silk­worth Bush. Wayne was a life­long area res­i­dent, and to­gether with his son owned Bush Truck­ing and Ex­ca­vat­ing in Stone Ridge for more than 60 years.

He also did snow plow­ing and was the su­per­in­ten­dent of the High Falls Ceme­tery. Wayne was a pas­sion­ate Chevro­let per­son, en­joyed NASCAR rac­ing, and hunt­ing.

He is sur­vived by his wife of 62 years, Emily Irv­ing Bush; a son, Wayne A. Bush Jr. and his wife Donna of Ac­cord; a sis­ter, Eve­lyn Davis of Ac­cord; and many nieces and neph­ews.

He was pre­de­ceased by five broth­ers and two sis­ters. His fu­neral ser­vice will be Mon­day at 11 a.m. at Ge­orge J. Moy­lan Fu­neral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. The Rev. Ar­lene Daw­ber will of­fi­ci­ate. In­ter­ment will fol­low at High Falls Ceme­tery.
