James W. Wal­dron, 80, of Kingston

James W. Wal­dron, 80, of Washington Av­enue, died Fri­day, Nov. 18, 2016, at Ten Broeck Com­mons Nurs­ing Home. He was born in Pough­keep­sie on July 8, 1936, to the late Charles and Florence Wal­dron. James worked for many years in main­te­nance for the Wappingers Cen­tral Schools. He spent the sec­ond half of his work life work­ing at Rose View Sta­bles and ul­ti­mately Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS). Jim learned to care for horses, but his great­est skill was his af­fec­tion for oth­ers and that be­came his call­ing card. He was a de­voted hus­band and father and loved his grand­chil­dren very much.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife of 60 years, the for­mer Barbara Mosher; daugh­ter, Florence (Robert) Stephen­son of Las Ve­gas; and two grand­chil­dren, Robert and Brai­ley Stephen­son.

His fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 10 a.m. Tues­day at Sea­mon-Wilsey Fu­neral Home Inc., cor­ner of John and Lafayette streets, Sauger­ties. Burial will fol­low in St. Mary’s Ceme­tery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mon­day.
