James W. Waldron, 80, of Kingston
James W. Waldron, 80, of Washington Avenue, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was born in Poughkeepsie on July 8, 1936, to the late Charles and Florence Waldron. James worked for many years in maintenance for the Wappingers Central Schools. He spent the second half of his work life working at Rose View Stables and ultimately Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS). Jim learned to care for horses, but his greatest skill was his affection for others and that became his calling card. He was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandchildren very much.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Barbara Mosher; daughter, Florence (Robert) Stephenson of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Robert and Brailey Stephenson.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets, Saugerties. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
