Sex offender failed to register address change, deputies say
KERHONKSON >> A 33-yearold city of Rochester man who is a sex offender has been charged with failing to register a change of address, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
James D. Liotta has been arrested on the felony charge, deputies said.
On Thursday, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Ulster County Department of Social Services, determined that Liotta, a registered sex offender from the City of Rochester, was living at a residence in Kerhonkson, deputies said.
Further investigation determined that he moved from his registered address prior to Nov. 2, deputies said. He failed to notify law enforcement and the Department of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of moving, deputies said. Deputies located Liotta in Kerhonkson and took him into custody, deputies said.
