Sex of­fender failed to reg­is­ter ad­dress change, deputies say

KER­HONK­SON >> A 33-yearold city of Rochester man who is a sex of­fender has been charged with fail­ing to reg­is­ter a change of ad­dress, ac­cord­ing to the Ul­ster County Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

James D. Liotta has been ar­rested on the felony charge, deputies said.

On Thurs­day, the Ul­ster County Sher­iff’s Of­fice, with the as­sis­tance of the Ul­ster County De­part­ment of So­cial Ser­vices, de­ter­mined that Liotta, a reg­is­tered sex of­fender from the City of Rochester, was liv­ing at a res­i­dence in Ker­honk­son, deputies said.

Fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tion de­ter­mined that he moved from his reg­is­tered ad­dress prior to Nov. 2, deputies said. He failed to no­tify law en­force­ment and the De­part­ment of Crim­i­nal Jus­tice Ser­vices within 10 days of mov­ing, deputies said. Deputies lo­cated Liotta in Ker­honk­son and took him into cus­tody, deputies said.
