Stephen T. Bailey, 66, of Kingston
Stephen T. Bailey, 66, of Hurley Avenue, Kingston, died at his home Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, with his family by his side in the care of Hospice. Born Oct. 7, 1950, in East Branch, N.Y., he was a son of the late Rev. Joseph Bailey and Fannie (Baker) Bailey.
Stephen was employed for many years at Dyno Nobel in Port Ewen, N.Y., until retirement. He was then employed by Wonderly’s in Kingston.
He enjoyed music, played guitar; he cherished the time spent with his companion, Sherri Pape as they traveled and spent time camping with family and friends. His days were also filled with joy as he played with his grandson, Preston.
Surviving are his companion, Sherri Pape; stepchildren, Amy Pape, Michael Pape and his wife Katie; brothers, Joseph Bailey and his wife Meg, Alvin Bailey and his wife Margaret Ann (Maggie), Timothy Bailey and Mark Bailey; and two grandchildren, Preston and Carter Pape. Many nieces and nephews, four greatnieces and two greatnephews also survive.
A son, Jacob Bailey, predeceased him.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jv leahyfh.com). Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. A service will be held at 7 p.m. to conclude the evening. Cremation will be held at Wiltwyck Crematory.
