America already great

Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - OPINION -

Dear Editor: This is about greatness. When I served in the Korean War as an airman, I never lost my admiration for our great county, the United States. In fact, I am grateful that I am an American and on the side of the right.

Whenever I witnessed those contrails overhead and knew that we were doing our best to keep America great, I was always thrilled and thankful to be an American.

Whenever I witness those contrails today, I’m thrilled to know that our present airmen are just as dedicated (and even more, perhaps) as we were then.

America is great. The United States is the greatest nation ever.

If we are to make our nation greater, let’s start from the point of recognizing we are already the greatest nation ever.
