RUPCO, a lowincome housing provider, is offering housing counselors to help people facing foreclosure or are close to defaulting on mortgages.

The counselors can work with people and their banks through the nationally-recognized Home Affordable Modification Program. This free program has helped more than 1.7 million homeowners stay in their homes with affordable payments.

The porogram resets payments to no more than 30 percent of monthly gross income. The deadline to enroll is Dec. 31.

For more information call (845) 331-9860.

EUPCO has NeighborWorks certified housing counselors. Their goal is to help 100 families avoid foreclosure before the New Year.

RUPCO, an affordable housing advocate and community developer in the Hudson Valley, is a charter member of NeighborWorks America, a national network of 245 housing and community development change agents.
