RUPCO seeks $600K to replace homes

Daily Freeman (Kingston, NY) - - COMMUNITY -

Affordable housing agency RUPCO is applying for grant funding of up to $600,000 to replace aging manufactured homes in Ulster County.

RUPCO is identifying potential applicants with low to moderate incomes in need of home replacement. The program, if funded by the state Office of Housing and Community Renewal, would allow the complete replacement of six owneroccupied homes on personally owned properties.

Homeowners interested in replacing their existing, outdated manufactured homes with an energy-efficient new home should contact Sally Dolan, by Dec. 6, at or (845) 331-9860 to request a “letter of interest” form.

Applicants must own, occupy and have title to a manufactured home and must own the land upon which the home is located. Homes in parks are ineligible. Properties must be up to date on taxes and applicants must meet income requirements.
