Paula J. Kitchen, 68, of Lake Katrine, died Wed­nes­day, Nov. 16, 2016, at Vas­sar Brothers Med­i­cal Cen­ter.

Born in Catskill, she was a daugh­ter of the late Gar­rie and Ella Mal­lory Lynn.

Paula was a grad­u­ate of Catskill High School, where she re­cently cel­e­brated her 50th high school re­union, and later went on to re­ceive her Mas­ter’s of Ed­u­ca­tion from SUNY New Paltz. She was a prom­i­nent busi­ness­woman who owned and op­er­ated Paula Kitchen Real Es­tate for nearly 40 years. She was a mem­ber of the National Board of Real­tors, Ul­ster County Board of Real­tors, and a long­stand­ing mem­ber of the Cham­ber of Com­merce. Paula was known for her ser­vice in the com­mu­nity and loved her church, Bible Bap­tist Church in Lake Katrine. She espe­cially loved her book club, go­ing to lunch with friends, shop­ping and talk­ing on the phone. She prided in her chil­dren and her grand­chil­dren. She left a legacy of gen­eros­ity and love to all who knew her.

Paula is sur­vived by her three chil­dren, Eric Kitchen and his wife Vanessa of Lake Katrine, Tammy Briggs and her hus­band Al­lan of Millers­burg, Pa., and Paul Kitchen and his wife Teresa of Rex­ford, N.Y. Eleven grand­chil­dren: Dar­ren, Tren­ton, Chris­tian, Mal­lory, Gabrielle, Ben­jamin, Emily, Alyssa, Anne Marie, Paul and John, also sur­vive.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at Simp­son-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Al­bany Ave., Kingston, on Sun­day, Nov. 27, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at King’s Fire Church at 11 a.m.

Inurn­ment in the fam­ily plot in Catskill Town Ceme­tery will be pri­vately held at a later date.
