The hike will be a 2.5 mile stroll along the small and scenic Onteora Lake, then a walk farther into the forest to identify signs from the region’s past and significant bluestone quarrying.

Organizers advise participants to pack a picnic lunch.

The tour will be led by Robert Drake.

The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

The event will be canceled in case of heavy rain. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for winter hiking.
