Li­brary hosts chil­dren’s sci­ence pro­gram

WHAT: Chil­dren’s pro­gram, “Sounds Like Sci­ence” WHEN: Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. WHERE: Kingston Li­brary, 55 Franklin St., Kingston DE­TAILS: Mad Sci­ence of the Mid-Hud­son will present “Sounds Like Sci­ence” as part of the li­brary’s Su­per Satur­days Per­for­mance Se­ries for schoolage chil­dren. It’s an in­ter­ac­tive ed­u­ca­tional and fun show all about sound and sound waves. The sound show ex­plores how sound is made and how at­ten­dees will be shocked as a di­nosaur roar is cre­ated with sim­ple ma­te­ri­als. The Mad Sci­en­tist will cre­ate a crazy ca­coph­ony with a garbage can, a swing­ing sound tube and a metal pipe. Ad­mis­sion is free.
