Marlborough Police conducting toy drive
The Marlborough Police Department is holding its annual Holiday Toy Drive. It runs through Dec. 19.
All toys collected will go to local children up to age 16. Applications can be obtained at the department, 21 Milton Turnpike. In addition to families that enroll themselves, families who are having a hard time providing holiday gifts for their children can be nominated. To nominate a family, write to the department and describe the circumstances affecting the family and why they need help. The children must live in the Marlboro school district to be eligible.
Letters can be signed or anonymous, but must include contact information for the family. Mail letters to the Marlborough Police Department, 21 Milton Turnpike, P.O. Box 305, Milton, N.Y. 12547, attention Head Dispatcher VanAmburgh. Toys can be dropped off at the department at anytime. Toys are also being collected at Dollar General. New, unwrapped toys and wrapping paper are being accepted.
