Funding available for youth mentoring
The Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services’ Division of Youth Services is seeking proposals for youth development services from municipalities and nonprofit, community-based organizations for 2017.
Grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 will be awarded to programs that provide free services designed to improve youth and community outcomes as outlined in the Life Areas funding priorities of the Dutchess County Youth Board and Coordinating Council. Programs that offer a mentoring component are encouraged to apply.
Grant workshops will be offered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Dutchess County Emergency Response Center, 392 Creek Road, Poughkeepsie.
