Fund­ing avail­able for youth men­tor­ing

The Dutchess County Depart­ment of Com­mu­nity and Fam­ily Ser­vices’ Di­vi­sion of Youth Ser­vices is seek­ing pro­pos­als for youth de­vel­op­ment ser­vices from mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties and non­profit, com­mu­nity-based or­ga­ni­za­tions for 2017.

Grants rang­ing from $5,000 to $25,000 will be awarded to pro­grams that pro­vide free ser­vices de­signed to im­prove youth and com­mu­nity out­comes as out­lined in the Life Ar­eas fund­ing pri­or­i­ties of the Dutchess County Youth Board and Co­or­di­nat­ing Coun­cil. Pro­grams that of­fer a men­tor­ing com­po­nent are en­cour­aged to ap­ply.

Grant work­shops will be of­fered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tues­day, Nov. 29, and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wed­nes­day, Nov. 30, at the Dutchess County Emer­gency Re­sponse Cen­ter, 392 Creek Road, Poughkeepsie.
