SAUGERTIES >> Charles J. Nac­carato, 95, of Saugerties, for­merly of Kingston, died Fri­day, Nov. 25, 2016, at Health Al­liance Hos­pi­tal, Broad­way Cam­pus.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Louis and Pasquelina Sot­tile Nac­carato.

Charlie was a vet­eran of World War II, hav­ing served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.

He was a tai­lor in Kingston for many years, start­ing with Kingston Knitting Mills and then work­ing for him­self. He was a mem­ber of the Scotch Moun­tain Gun Club and a for­mer mem­ber of the St. Mary’s Benev­o­lent So­ci­ety. Charlie loved life and was very fam­i­ly­ori­ented.

Charlie is sur­vived by his two sons, Charles V. Nac­carato and his wife Hen­ri­etta of High­land and Kevin J. Nac­carato and his wife Bar­bara of Saugerties; four grand­chil­dren, Charles, Jaime, Kyle and Perri; and four great­grand­chil­dren, Melody Rae, Vic­to­ria, An­druw and Jonah. Many nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Charlie was pre­de­ceased by his wife of 60 years, Rose Perry Nac­carato, who passed in 2005; two broth­ers, Michael Nac­carato and James Nac­carato; and two sisters, Christina Ca­terino and Theresa Lange.

Charlie will be repos­ing at Simp­son-Gaus Fu­neral Home, 411 Al­bany Ave., Kingston, on Mon­day, Nov. 28, 2016, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The fu­neral pro­ces­sion will form from the fu­neral home on Tues­day at 9 a.m.

A fu­neral Mass will be cel­e­brated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church.

In­ter­ment, with mil­i­tary hon­ors by Joyce-Schir­ick Post 1386 Color Guard, will fol­low in St. Mary’s Ceme­tery.
