County Play­ers present hol­i­day pro­duc­tion

WHAT: “A County Play­ers Christ­mas”

WHEN: Dec. 2 and 3 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.

WHERE: County Play­ers Falls Theatre, 2681 W. Main St., Wap­pingers Falls

DE­TAILS: The County Play­ers presents the sea­son’s most mem­o­rable mu­sic and words. Au­di­ence mem­bers will not only ex­pe­ri­ence the sea­son’s fa­vorite fa­mil­iar songs, but they will also hear sev­eral noew se­lec­tions, along with some tra­di­tional po­ems and read­ings. Tick­ets are $10.

Mit­ten Tree Cloth­ing Drive gets un­der way

WHAT: Mit­ten Tree Cloth­ing Drive WHEN: Now through Dec. 13

WHERE: Bell’s Christ­mas Trees, 647 Met­tac­a­honts Road, Ac­cord

DE­TAILS: Bell’s Christ­mas Trees is host­ing the Sec­ond An­nual Mit­ten Tree Cloth­ing Drive to ben­e­fit Fam­ily of El­lenville. Bell’s is invit­ing the com­mu­nity to help cre­ate “mit­ten trees” by bring­ing new or gen­tly used mit­tens, gloves, scarves, hats, scarves and socks to their farm. The col­or­ful ac­ces­sories will dec­o­rate liv­ing trees un­til they are passed on to com­mu­nity mem­bers through Fam­ily of El­lenville. The pro­gram, a branch of Fam­ily of Wood­stock, runs shel­ters, emer­gency food pantries, coun­sel­ing ser­vices, child care sup­port and hot­lines that help peo­ple year round. Bell’s opens at 9:30 a.m. on week­days and 8 a.m. week­ends. It closes at sun­set.
