Theresa S. Misasi, 83, of Kingston
Theresa S. Misasi, 83, formerly of Sheehan Court, Kingston, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at TenBroeck Commons in Lake Katrine.
Born July 18, 1933, in Glasco, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Susan (Mayone) Costello.
Theresa worked for IBM until her retirement. Theresa also worked as a licensed hairdresser for Joseph’s Hair Salon & Hair Designs. She co-owned, with her late husband, Jack, The Promise Land Restaurant on Foxhall Avenue, Kingston, and worked in her later years for Bob Gaus at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home as a member of funeral support staff. Theresa loved cooking and baking; and especially loved her Friday night gatherings with her lady friends.
Surviving are her children, MaryAnn White and her husband Keith, and John “Jay” Misasi, of Kingston; one granddaughter, Harleigh Misasi; sisters, Margaret Forcino and Rose Rinaldi; and one brother, Fred Costello. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Theresa’s husband, John S. “Jack” Misasi, died in 1999. Her siblings, Fannie DeCicco, Stella Sasso, Frank Costello, Mary Misasi and Louis Costello Jr., all died previously.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jv leahyfh.com). Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Glasco; Father Xavier Santiago will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights.
