Theresa S. Misasi, 83, for­merly of Shee­han Court, Kingston, died Mon­day, Nov. 28, 2016, at TenBroeck Com­mons in Lake Katrine.

Born July 18, 1933, in Glasco, she was the daugh­ter of the late Louis and Susan (May­one) Costello.

Theresa worked for IBM un­til her re­tire­ment. Theresa also worked as a li­censed hair­dresser for Joseph’s Hair Sa­lon & Hair De­signs. She co-owned, with her late hus­band, Jack, The Prom­ise Land Restau­rant on Fox­hall Avenue, Kingston, and worked in her later years for Bob Gaus at Simp­son-Gaus Fu­neral Home as a mem­ber of fu­neral sup­port staff. Theresa loved cook­ing and bak­ing; and es­pe­cially loved her Fri­day night gath­er­ings with her lady friends.

Sur­viv­ing are her chil­dren, MaryAnn White and her hus­band Keith, and John “Jay” Misasi, of Kingston; one grand­daugh­ter, Har­leigh Misasi; sisters, Mar­garet For­cino and Rose Ri­naldi; and one brother, Fred Costello. Many nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

Theresa’s hus­band, John S. “Jack” Misasi, died in 1999. Her sib­lings, Fan­nie DeCicco, Stella Sasso, Frank Costello, Mary Misasi and Louis Costello Jr., all died pre­vi­ously.

Fu­neral ar­range­ments are un­der the guid­ance of Joseph V. Leahy Fu­neral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jv leahyfh.com). Friends will be re­ceived at the fu­neral home on Wed­nes­day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The fu­neral pro­ces­sion will form at the fu­neral home at 8:45 a.m. Thurs­day. A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be cel­e­brated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Glasco; Fa­ther Xavier San­ti­ago will of­fi­ci­ate. Burial will fol­low at St. Mary of the Snow Ceme­tery, Bar­clay Heights.
