Rosendale Theatre’s Youth Arts to per­form win­ter sol­stice show

WHAT: Youth Arts at The Rosendale Theatre presents “Dark Night / New Light” WHEN: Wed­nes­day, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St., Rosendale.

DE­TAILS: This win­ter sol­stice event is a multi-me­dia per­for­mance fea­tur­ing orig­i­nal mu­sic, spo­ken word, dance, art and folk tales about the light. The pro­gram is un­der the di­rec­tion of Car­rie Wykoff, Deb­bie Lan and Bryan “Drew” An­drews. The cast fea­tures over a dozen 7- to 13-year-olds from the Rosendale, Stone Ridge and New Paltz area. Open­ing the evening will be a short pre­sen­ta­tion by Jer­rice Bap­tiste who is a poet, ed­u­ca­tor, founder and fa­cil­i­ta­tor of au­then­tic po­etry and heal­ing. The evening will cul­mi­nate in a sing-along. The cost for tick­ets is $10, $5 for chil­dren.
