‘100 Cups of Coffee’ aims to improve city
The Family Partnership Center aims to build a “kinder, safer, more connected” city — one cup of coffee at a time — at its third community gathering from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lateef Islam Auditorium of the Family Partnership Center, 29 N. Hamilton St.
At the event, “100 Cups of Coffee, a Transformative Dialogue Project,” participants can tell their stories and share hopes to foster dialogue, organizers say.
“Through small- and large-group conversations, this Transformative Dialogue Project aims to foster better working relationships between people, thereby strengthening the fabric of the community,” a flier announcing the event says. “This project engages members of the Poughkeepsie community, including law enforcement and faith communities, elected officials, non-profits, community organizations and neighbors.”
