Free screen­ing of ‘Frozen’ of­fered Dec. 10

Hyde Park Roo­sevelt Cine­mas, I Heart Radio of Pough­keep­sie, the Clau­dio Cares Foun­da­tion and Rhinebeck Bank are spon­sor­ing a free Christ­mas movie for chil­dren and their fam­i­lies on Dec. 10.

The the­ater, on U.S. Route 9, will show “Frozen,” rated PG, an an­i­mated tale about two sis­ters, Anna and Elsa, and how they save their king­dom.

The doors will open at 9 a.m. and the film will start at 10 a.m.

Santa will be on hand, and par­ents are en­cour­aged to bring cam­eras. Par­ents are wel­come to at­tend the film with their chil­dren, or may drop them off and pick them up af­ter­ward.

Ad­mis­sion is free, but tick­ets must be ob­tained in ad­vance from one of I Heart’s lo­cal sta­tions (Q92.1, WRWD, Kiss FM), Cop­pola’s Restau­rant in Hyde Park or the Hyde Park branch of Rhinebeck Bank.

Five-hun­dred tick­ets are avail­able on a first-come, first-served ba­sis.

At­ten­dees are asked to bring a non-per­ish­able food item for col­lec­tion by the Clau­dio Cares Foun­da­tion for dis­tri­bu­tion to needy fam­i­lies in the area in con­junc­tion with the fifth an­nual Clau­dio’s Can Drive, which will take place un­til Dec. 17. Food dona­tions may be left ei­ther at the Roo­sevelt Cine­mas or Cop­pola’s through Dec. 17.
