Extension classes will focus on farm funding
A class will be offered Thursday, Dec. 15 for farm owners interested in seeking grants to support their businesses.
“Free Money?” will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, 232 Plaza Road, at Kingston Plaza. The class will focus on grant terminology and rules, predicting a project’s likelihood of receiving useful funding, and information about existing programs. Instructor Elizabeth Higgins is the agriculture business management extension specialist for the Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program.
The class will be repeated from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 15 at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County, 2715 Route 44, Millbrook.
The program is free for farms enrolled in ENYCHP (Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program) and $10 for others. Pre-register by Dec. 13 at http://enych.cce.cornell. edu/event.php?id=637
