Undefeated Roosevelt tops Kingston-New Paltz
Roosevelt High improved to 3-0 by defeating KingstonNew Paltz 149.5-127.55. Dannica Bolitho was first on the bars with a 6.4 and the beam with an 8.05 en route to taking all-around honors.
Kingston High’s bowling teams swept Highland, while Saugerties split with Roosevelt in Section 9 matches Wednesday at Kingston Lanes.
The Tigers won the boys match 7-0 and the girls 5-2. Saugerties took the girls match 7-0, while Roosevelt boys won 5-2.
Tyler Winters rolled a 247-253-237—737 series, Austin Wells had a 212-229237—610 and Joey Mains posted a 258 high game as Kingston’s boys easily beat Highland 3121-2109 in pinfall. Taylor Wells (153-171172—496), Jordan Thomas (130-136-181—447) and Kami Miller (125-158-135— 418) paced the Tiger girls, who had a 2190-1926 edge.
Lenny Cassabura (246184-154—584), Brooke Harris (134-134-143—411) and Amanda Darmochwal (211) led Highland.
Darian Wood’s 201-215177—593 series led the Sawyer girls, who had a 22141656 edge in pins. Megan Kosier had a 182-127-137— 441 for Roosevelt.
Joe Decker rolled 190 and 202 games and Matt Seyfarth threw a 192 to lead Saugerties’ boys.
Roosevelt, which had a 2432-2183 advantage in pins, was guided by Austin Trainor (142-201-225—568) and Ryan Padgett (137-254130—521).
