College offers courses in defensive driving
SUNY Ulster’s Continuing and Professional Education Department is offering driver education courses.
• Driver education classes will be offered at Kingston, Rondout Valley, New Paltz, Wallkill, Highland, Onteora and Marlboro high schools. Orientation will take place the week of Feb. 6 and classes begin the following week.
• A prelicensing class required to take a road test will be offered at SUNY Ulster’s Kingston Center, 94 Mary’s Ave., March 4 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The course fee is $45.
• A six-hour defensive driving class, which can save participants 10 percent on auto insurance premiums for three years, will be offered Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Stone Ridge campus and Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Kingston Center. The course fee is $45.
