Col­lege of­fers cour­ses in de­fen­sive driv­ing

SUNY Ul­ster’s Con­tin­u­ing and Pro­fes­sional Ed­u­ca­tion Depart­ment is of­fer­ing driver ed­u­ca­tion cour­ses.

• Driver ed­u­ca­tion classes will be of­fered at Kingston, Ron­d­out Val­ley, New Paltz, Wal­lkill, High­land, On­te­ora and Marl­boro high schools. Ori­en­ta­tion will take place the week of Feb. 6 and classes be­gin the fol­low­ing week.

• A pre­li­cens­ing class re­quired to take a road test will be of­fered at SUNY Ul­ster’s Kingston Cen­ter, 94 Mary’s Ave., March 4 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The course fee is $45.

• A six-hour de­fen­sive driv­ing class, which can save par­tic­i­pants 10 per­cent on auto in­sur­ance pre­mi­ums for three years, will be of­fered Satur­day, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Stone Ridge cam­pus and Satur­day, March 25, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Kingston Cen­ter. The course fee is $45.
