City’s 76-page Visitor’s Guide for 2017 available

The 2017 edition of the Kingston Visitor’s Guide is now available at various locations and online.

“One of the greatest honors I have as mayor is to help tell the story of our beautiful city,” Mayor Steve Noble said in a press release. “I am proud of this year’s Visitor’s Guide, as it highlights the people and places that make our community such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.”

More than 15,000 copies of free 76-page guide have been printed. It also can be viewed online at bit. ly/2q7003G.

“The 2017 Visitor’s Guide promotes tourism and beyond, encouraging visitors to re-imagine Kingston as their future hometown,” the press release states. “New this year is a full spread dedicated to the city’s thriving Parks and Recreation Department. Quality of life in the area is also promoted, using local photographers.”

This fall’s planned Burning of Kingston re-enactment also has a full spread to “encourage attendance and involvement in the vibrant weekend long event celebrating the city’s rich, local history,” the release states.

“From the start of tourist season through New Year’s Eve, the 2017 Kingston Visitor’s Guide is a powerful resource,” it says.

The 2017 Kingston Visitor’s Guide is supported by New York State Tourism, Ulster County Tourism, the city of Kingston, the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce and local businesses and associations.

Frank Campagna, of ColorPage in Kingston, produced and is distributing the guide at no expense to the city.

“What a beautiful and tangible way to represent the attributes of our growing city,” Campagna said in the press release. “I am especially proud of this year’s Visitor’s Guide, as its development was a true cooperative between my staff and the community at large.”

The printed version of the guide is available through the area, including at City Hall, 420 Broadway, and the Kingston Heritage Area Visitors Center/Ulster County Tourism office, 20 Broadway.
