July 8 garden tour aids theater company
WOODSTOCK, N.Y. » Private gardens in the Woodstock area will be open for viewing Saturday, July 8, in a fundraiser to benefit the Bird-On-A-Cliff Theatre Company’s 2017 Woodstock Shakespeare Festival. The rain date is July 9.
Eight Woodstock area hosts will open their private gardens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maps will be available the day of the event at Bird-On-A-Cliff’s Woodstock Shakespeare Festival Stage, 45 Comeau Drive, Woodstock, between 9:30 and 11 a.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $25, or at the stage for $30 (cash or personal check). A special feature of the day’s program is a guest lecture by garden designer Carrie Greenwald of Maher & Greenwald Landscape and Garden Design. The award-winning firm based in Stamford, Conn., specializes in private residences, public gardens, and commercial properties.
