HOLLY HILL, FLA. » David Joseph McCluskey died in the com­fort of his home on Wed­nes­day, Aug. 31, 2017, in Holly Hill, Fla.

He was born in 1932 in Philadel­phia, Pa. Af­ter serv­ing in the Navy, David re­lo­cated to New York with IBM, where he worked as a com­puter pro­gram­mer un­til re­tir­ing in 1987. David re­lo­cated to Holly Hill, Fla., in 2005.

David joins his wife, Roseanne; his daugh­ters, Sharon Black and Mau­reen McCluskey; and his grand­son, Ja­son Black, in Heaven.

His love and legend lives on in his five sur­viv­ing chil­dren: Linda McCluskey, David McCluskey, Thomas McCluskey, Daniel McCluskey, Anne Ce­line Gy­nan; his 11 grand­chil­dren, Jeffrey Black, Joshua McCluskey, Matthew McCluskey, Rachel Pape, Alexan­der McCluskey, Ni­cole Mor­ri­son, Ryan McCluskey, Daniel McCluskey, Erica Fowler, Ni­cholas McCluskey; and his eight great-grand­chil­dren: Ja­son Black, Kayla Black, Nikoli Black, Ai­den Pape, Kyler Pape, Brodie Fowler, Ruby Fowler, and Harper Mor­ri­son.

Cre­ma­tion is be­ing han­dled by the Nep­tune So­ci­ety in Florida and his ashes are be­ing scat­tered at sea. David’s fam­ily will cel­e­brate his life in pri­vate.
