Ellenville, Red Hook, Pine Plains, FDR earn wins
Sean Pettway rushed for 115 yards on eight carries, with three touchdowns, as Ellenville High overcame an early deficit to roll past Tri-Valley, 38-14, giving the Devils their first Section 9 football win of the season.
Pettway scored on runs of 53, 15 and eight yards in the first half for (1-2) Ellenville, which trailed 6-0 before responding with 38 unanswered points. Anthony Walton had a 13-yard touchdown run, as the Devils led 30-6 at halftime.
In the second half, quarterback Zach Bonitz and Ray Younger rounded out the Devils’ scoring as the two combined on a 70-yard touchdown pass. Bonitz was 3 for 3 for 94 yards in the win.
Tri-Valley took the lead on the game’s opening drive, with Mike Shulte scoring on a 3-yard run.

At Red Hook, Dylan Bayliss threw for 235 yards and two TDs as the (1-2) Raiders won their Homecoming Game and delivered the first victory to new coach Scott Ricketson.
Dario DeValentino put (0-3) Highland ahead with a field goal late in the first quarter, but Red Hook dominated after that.
Bayliss tossed touchdown passes to Hunter Cole and Mat Hunziker, who scored his first varsity TD. Hunziker also had an interception.
Tanner Guidi had a 50yard TD run and Tristen Schiafo scored on a 6-yard burst. The defense added to the scoring with a fourthquarter safety. Pine Plains 27, Millbrook 26
At Pine Plains, Matt Beam ran for three touchdowns and Even Proper one to lead the (2-1) Bombers in an overtime victory.
Beam ran for the TD and Matt Funk kicked the extra point to give Pine Plains a 27-20 lead in OT. Millbrook (0-3) scored, but the Bombers stopped Eric Manfredi’s potential game-winning two-point run to clinch the triumph.
Proper finished with 82 yards rushing and Beam 65. The Bomber defense was led by Kyle Strcher and Marcus Hay. Roosevelt 16, Goshen 0
At Hyde Park, E.J. Budai had a big game for (2-1) Roosevelt as he ran for two touchdowns plus a twopoint conversion and had a sack and nine tackles.
Jermally James registered four sacks, Dan Tompkins had 11 tackles and a sack, Elijah Hewitt had 10 tackles and an interception and Devonte Pavelock also had a pick as the Presidents shut out (02, 0-3) Goshen in a Class A game. Cornwall 63, Wallkill 0
At Cornwall, the (3-0) Dragons rushed for eight touchdowns in the Class A victory over (0-3) Wallkill.
T.J. Gayle gained 150 yards and scored four times on just three carries, while Amin Woods had three TDs and 86 yards on seven attempts. Aidan Semo also ran for a score for Cornwall. Max Olavarria had a interception return for a touchdown.
