El­lenville, Red Hook, Pine Plains, FDR earn wins

Sean Pettway rushed for 115 yards on eight car­ries, with three touch­downs, as El­lenville High over­came an early deficit to roll past Tri-Val­ley, 38-14, giv­ing the Devils their first Sec­tion 9 foot­ball win of the sea­son.

Pettway scored on runs of 53, 15 and eight yards in the first half for (1-2) El­lenville, which trailed 6-0 be­fore responding with 38 unan­swered points. An­thony Wal­ton had a 13-yard touch­down run, as the Devils led 30-6 at half­time.

In the se­cond half, quar­ter­back Zach Bonitz and Ray Younger rounded out the Devils’ scor­ing as the two com­bined on a 70-yard touch­down pass. Bonitz was 3 for 3 for 94 yards in the win.

Tri-Val­ley took the lead on the game’s open­ing drive, with Mike Shulte scor­ing on a 3-yard run.

At Red Hook, Dy­lan Bayliss threw for 235 yards and two TDs as the (1-2) Raiders won their Home­com­ing Game and de­liv­ered the first vic­tory to new coach Scott Rick­et­son.

Dario DeValentino put (0-3) High­land ahead with a field goal late in the first quar­ter, but Red Hook dom­i­nated af­ter that.

Bayliss tossed touch­down passes to Hunter Cole and Mat Hun­ziker, who scored his first var­sity TD. Hun­ziker also had an in­ter­cep­tion.

Tan­ner Guidi had a 50yard TD run and Tris­ten Schi­afo scored on a 6-yard burst. The de­fense added to the scor­ing with a fourthquar­ter safety. Pine Plains 27, Mill­brook 26

At Pine Plains, Matt Beam ran for three touch­downs and Even Proper one to lead the (2-1) Bombers in an over­time vic­tory.

Beam ran for the TD and Matt Funk kicked the ex­tra point to give Pine Plains a 27-20 lead in OT. Mill­brook (0-3) scored, but the Bombers stopped Eric Man­fredi’s po­ten­tial game-win­ning two-point run to clinch the tri­umph.

Proper fin­ished with 82 yards rush­ing and Beam 65. The Bomber de­fense was led by Kyle Strcher and Mar­cus Hay. Roo­sevelt 16, Goshen 0

At Hyde Park, E.J. Bu­dai had a big game for (2-1) Roo­sevelt as he ran for two touch­downs plus a two­point con­ver­sion and had a sack and nine tack­les.

Jer­mally James reg­is­tered four sacks, Dan Tomp­kins had 11 tack­les and a sack, Eli­jah He­witt had 10 tack­les and an in­ter­cep­tion and Devonte Pave­lock also had a pick as the Pres­i­dents shut out (02, 0-3) Goshen in a Class A game. Corn­wall 63, Wal­lkill 0

At Corn­wall, the (3-0) Dragons rushed for eight touch­downs in the Class A vic­tory over (0-3) Wal­lkill.

T.J. Gayle gained 150 yards and scored four times on just three car­ries, while Amin Woods had three TDs and 86 yards on seven at­tempts. Ai­dan Semo also ran for a score for Corn­wall. Max Olavar­ria had a in­ter­cep­tion re­turn for a touch­down.
