Des Moines, Iowa-based magazine publisher Meredith reports its second-quarter earnings today. The publisher of Better Homes & Gardens, Family Circle and Allrecipes is expected to report that profit slumped to 79 cents a share in its fiscal fourth quarter, from $1.07 a year ago. Meredith bought Time for $1.8 billion in January, saying it expected to save up to $500 million in the first two years by combining operations.
