Ron­d­out shuts out El­lenville; Red Hook rolls past On­te­ora

Ron­d­out Val­ley and Red Hook scored Mid-Hud­son Ath­letic League field hockey wins Fri­day. Ron­d­out blanked El­lenville 3-0, while Red Hook’s big sec­ond half car­ried it to an 8-2 triumph over On­te­ora. Ron­d­out 3, El­lenville 0

At Ky­serike, Lea Smith scored off a pair of Sophia Schoon­maker passes in the first half and Court­ney Cof­fey added an unas­sisted goal in the sec­ond to lead un­de­feaed (4-0) Ron­d­out Val­ley.

Jackie Lewis and Azure Jones col­lab­o­rated on the shutout, com­bin­ing on two saves.

Megan Eck­ert kept the match tight for (2-2) El­lenville, stop­ping 11 shots. Ron­d­out out­shot the Lady Devils 20-3. Red Hook 8, On­te­ora 2

At Red Hook, the Raiders pulled away with five unan­swered goals in the sec­ond half.

Bai­ley Jor­dan had three goals and an as­sist, Ally McCrud­den had two goals and four as­sists, Danielle Walsh scored twice and Maddie An­der­son had one goal to lead Red Hook.

“Ally McCrud­den played a strong game as well as Syd­ney Ottman in the cen­ter of the field,” Raider coach Cari Meltzer said. “They dis­trib­ute the ball and see the field very well.”

Han­nah Mercier and Zoe Christensen each played a half in goal for Red Hook, com­bin­ing for three saves.

Alana Wood stopped 16 shots for On­te­ora. Sarah Jones and Corey Chun scored for the Ea­gles.
