Edna Mae Veit of West Chester

Edna Mae Veit, 90, died on August 24, 2016. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Roland B. and Louise S. Battles and the wife of William P. Veit Jr. who died in 1997.

She was employed by John Wanamaker, Philadelphia for 10 years and as a secretary for the East Whiteland School District and the Great Valley School District for over 20 years. She also served as the Secretary to the Great Valley School Board.

Edna Mae was quick-witted, kind, compassionate, strong, stubborn, a great friend and a lover of animals, nature, and gardening.

In honor of her wishes, there will be no memorial service or funeral. Burial will be private.
