Two hos­pi­tal­ized af­ter crash on Route 202

Two peo­ple were hos­pi­tal­ized fol­low­ing a two-ve­hi­cle crash on Route 202 Wed­nes­day morn­ing in West­town.

WEST­TOWN >> Two peo­ple were hos­pi­tal­ized fol­low­ing a two-ve­hi­cle crash on Route 202 Wed­nes­day morn­ing in the 1000 block of Wilm­ing­ton Pike.

Po­lice said a 2013 Ford Fu­sion and a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja mo­tor­cy­cle were both trav­el­ing south­bound on Route 202. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the front bumper of the Ford Fu­sion re­port­edly struck the mo­tor­cy­cle for an un­known rea­son.

Both driv­ers were taken to Paoli Hos­pi­tal.

The mo­tor­cy­clist, a 31-year-old man from Penn Val­ley, is in crit­i­cal con­di­tion. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Tren­ton, N.J., is in stable con­di­tion.

The sedan came to a rest on the me­dian of Route 202.

Both a north­bound and south­bound lane were closed dur­ing the crash in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Medic 91, along with Good Fel­low­ship Am­bu­lance, West Ch­ester Fire Depart­ment, West Ch­ester and West Goshen po­lice re­sponded to the ac­ci­dent. All lanes were reported open by 1 p.m. Wed­nes­day.

Po­lice in­ves­ti­gate a mo­tor­cy­cle crash on south­bound Route 202 just north of West Pleas­ant Grove Road in West­town Wed­nes­day. Po­lice had one lane in each di­rec­tion closed most of the day as they in­ves­ti­gated.
