Wil­liam C. Hall­man Sr. of West Ch­ester

Wil­liam C. Hall­man Sr., 55, passed away sud­denly on Mon­day, Septem­ber 19, 2016, at his res­i­dence. He was the beloved hus­band of Kath­leen D. John­ston Hall­man, with whom he shared 23 years of mar­riage.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Mar­ian Wal­lace Hall­man.

Wil­liam worked in the grounds main­te­nance de­part­ment for the Unionville/ Chadds Ford School Dis­trict. He loved play­ing bil­liards, rid­ing his Har­ley David­son mo­tor­cy­cles and was an avid NASCAR fan. His sec­ond love was his 1969 SS Su­per Sport Chev­elle in mint con­di­tion.

In ad­di­tion to his wife, Wil­liam is sur­vived by his son, Wil­liam C. Hall­man, Jr “Chase”; three broth­ers, Jeff, Louie and David; and by two grand­chil­dren, C.J. and Jay­den. He was pre­de­ceased by a brother, Fran­cis.

A funeral ser­vice will be held at 7:00 p.m., Mon­day, Septem­ber 26, 2016 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lan­caster Av­enue, Down­ing­town. Fam­ily and friends may view from 5:00-6:45 p.m.

In­ter­ment will be pri­vate with the fam­ily.
