Utility installation to cause road closure
A road closure will be in effect through April 2017 for water and sewer installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.
Pennsylvania American Water is scheduled to close Main Street on weekdays between Culvert Street and Bridge Street in Parkesburg beginning Monday, Oct. 3, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for water and sewer installation. The weekday closure of Main Street will be in effect through the end of April 2017.
During construction, Main Street through traffic will be detoured over Strasburg Road, Limestone Road and McCalls Ferry Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
Pennsylvania American Water will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
