Down­ing­town po­lice said a black male in his 40’s, wear­ing a blue polo shirt, black jeans, short black hair with sun­glasses on his head passed two coun­ter­feit $20 bills at the Wawa at 100 Wal­lace Av­enue on Sept. 9. Po­lice said the first $20 bill was used ear­lier that day to pur­chase items. Po­lice said the sus­pect re­turned to the store around 3 p.m. re­quest­ing change for a twenty dol­lar bill. The per­son left the store be­fore an em­ployee re­al­ized it was coun­ter­feit, ac­cord­ing to the po­lice re­port.
