Pat Croce presides over ribbon cutting of WCU’s new Center for Contemplative Studies
Pat Croce, a West Chester University alumnus and former owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, presided over the ribbon cutting of the university’s new Center for Contemplative Studies Wednesday afternoon. In a small ceremony in front of a handful of students and faculty, Croce spoke to the crowd about mindfulness and how it has positively benefited his life. Pat Croce and his wife Diane have donated $250,000 toward the development and expansion of West Chester University’s Center for Contemplative Studies. West Chester Mayor Carolyn Comitta, West Chester University Interim President Christopher Fiorentino, College of Health Sciences Dean Linda Adams, along with the center’s co-directors Don McCown and Christine Moriconi, spoke at the event Wednesday as well. Croce’s family also attended the event.
