Kyle T. McGrane, 17, passed away on Mon­day, Septem­ber 26, 2016 at the Santa Rosa Memo­rial Hospi­tal in Santa Rosa, CA af­ter in­juries sus­tained while in­volved in a mo­tor­cy­cle race. Born in Lan­caster, he was the beloved son of Thomas M. McGrane, Sr. and Lori Ann Diem McGrane of Gap.

Kyle was an area res­i­dent all his life. He was a Se­nior honor roll stu­dent at the Pe­quea Val­ley High School. He en­joyed wood­shop and wanted to ex­tend his love for it af­ter grad­u­a­tion. He also en­joyed graphic arts. His in­ter­est in graphic arts started with him help­ing his brother. He was a wrestler at Pe­quea Val­ley and was loved by his fac­ulty and fel­low stu­dents.

His first love was mo­tor­cy­cle rac­ing. He be­gan rac­ing when he was four years old and be­came an ac­com­plished rider. He was rookie of the year in 2013 Ice Rac­ing Series, multi time Am­a­teur Na­tional Cham­pion, Multi-Dis­trict 6&7 cham­pion, Esmra Su­per­moto cham­pion four years in a row. In 2015 he was one of the top ranked am­a­teur rid­ers un­til turn­ing pro­fes­sional in July 2015. He was mov­ing up the pro ranks and was fol­lowed by ev­ery rac­ing fam­ily and fan from the east coast to the west coast.

Kyle was a sweet, kind, hum­ble and amaz­ing son, brother and friend that would lend any­one a help­ing hand or a needed smile. He will be truly missed by so many.

He is sur­vived, in ad­di­tion to his par­ents, by one brother Thomas M. McGrane, Jr. and fi­ance Jes Ressler of Gap, one nephew Lo­gan McGrane of Gap, ma­ter­nal grand­mother Irene Diem of New Hol­land, ma­ter­nal step grand­mother An­nette Diem of Lin­coln, DE, his de­voted girl­friend Alexan­dra Ressler of Ephrata, PA, three un­cles, three aunts, nu­mer­ous cousins, fel­low rac­ing com­pan­ions and friends.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 7, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Hous­ton Run Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 835 Hous­ton Run Drive, Gap, PA 17527 fol­lowed by in­ter­ment at the Pe­quea E.C. Ceme­tery, Gap, PA. Fam­ily and friends are also in­vited to at­tend the visi­ta­tion at the same lo­ca­tion on Thurs­day evening, Oc­to­ber 6 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and also Fri­day morn­ing from 9:00 am to the time of the ser­vice.

In lieu of flow­ers, memo­rial do­na­tions may be made in Kyle’s mem­ory to any of the fol­low­ing.
